Love these kiddos!!

I promised the kids I would try to get these pics up.  We have just had so much fun together and you can see the bonds are already starting for a great year.  I had all great intentions to sign the planners today and time got the best of us.  We discussed today how next week we will continue to move forward in the fourth grade curriculum but not quite as quickly as before seeing that we do have some areas that we really need to focus on for review for the upcoming MEAP tests.  The first area we are going to concentrate on is fractions for math.  We have been trying to update you as to what we are covering in the different subject section  in our planners.  I would like to add a curriculum section to this blog as well to keep you posted on things.  We are starting our school baggie book program again in the upcoming weeks and so for now, I have just asked the students to record their reading minutes in their planners and then eventually we will move towards tracking reading through our baggie books daily.  The math homework has been a challenge for us this week.  We are going to pause for a bit with math unit 1 and have some focus on other areas that we know we should brush up on for our state assessment.  We will not stop unit 1 of math, however the homework routine may change for a bit after seeing this week and how it went with 1 assignment each night.  There is a comment section on our blog, so, please feel free to tell me what you need from me or what questions you have.  We have only been with each other for a bit, so , please don't hesitate to let me know thoughts, ideas, questions, etc.  I believe that working together is the only way to be successful!!
